Chantel Lubbe

Front of House and Administration

After completing matric in 2001, I pursued a passion for hospitality by enrolling at the Central University of the Free State, where I earned my B.Tech in Hospitality Management in 2009. My journey in the industry began during my second round of experiential training at a well-regarded establishment in Bloemfontein. Impressed by my performance, the management offered me a full-time position as a receptionist, marking the start of what would become a 14-year career in the hospitality sector.

Over the years, I honed my skills in various aspects of hospitality, leading to a promotion just two years into my tenure. My hard work and dedication paid off, and after six years, I reached a significant milestone by advancing to the role of Manager at another prominent establishment. This role allowed me to deepen my understanding of the industry and further develop my leadership abilities.

In the past year, I transitioned to Olive Chef School, where I have embraced a new challenge. Here, I play a key role in assisting with Front of House training, guiding the next generation of hospitality professionals, and overseeing the day-to-day administrative operations of the school. This experience has allowed me to combine my practical knowledge with educational support, contributing to the development of future industry leaders.
